Kontoor’s Inclusion & Diversity Strategy

The following message from Kontoor’s CEO, Scott Baxter, was sent earlier today to Kontoor’s global employees.

Inclusion & Diversity have been at the heart of our company and ingrained in our values since Kontoor was created. We are one team. We take care of one another. We are stronger together because we embrace each of our unique strengths, differences and perspectives. As Kontoor, we win together.

It’s now time for us to take an important next step – formally introducing our Inclusion & Diversity strategy and multi-year objectives. This will provide transparency with respect to our journey today, establish measurable and visible objectives for the changes we seek to achieve, and put into motion detailed plans to get us where we need to be.

While our strategy has been in development since earlier this year with many global employees involved throughout the process, I am proud that it also reflects our more recent conversations on race and inclusion. I am grateful to all who participated, and I hope and expect that these conversations – and your ideas –  will continue.

Our Inclusion & Diversity strategy focuses on four priority areas: Workplace Belonging, Workforce Diversity, Marketplace Equity, and Sustainability & Accountability. You can read more about our approach and objectives here, track our collective progress and participate in the ongoing evolution of our strategy. This information is public, as we want to keep our consumers, partners, prospective employees, communities, and other stakeholders informed and encourage them to join with us on the journey.  We have also created a new intranet page on The Konnect, where you will find employee-specific resources, a timeline of upcoming activities and ideas for ways you can stay involved.

I’ve said before that Inclusion & Diversity is not a one-off initiative at Kontoor – it’s intrinsic to our purpose to be the common thread that inspires people to live with passion and confidence. It is foundational to who we are and who we aspire to be.
