Scott Baxter
President, Chief Executive Officer & Chair of the Board
Scott Baxter is President, Chief Executive Officer and Chair of the Board of Kontoor. He has served on the Board since the inception of Kontoor Brands in August 2019. Mr. Baxter was named CEO of Kontoor Brands in August 2018 and led the newly formed corporation through a spinoff from VF Corporation into an independent, publicly traded company. Mr. Baxter has more than 30 years of experience in retail, operations, marketing, merchandising, sales and manufacturing, including extensive executive leadership experience.
Prior to being named CEO of Kontoor, Mr. Baxter was Group President, Americas West, for VF. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing brands such as The North Face® and Vans®.
Mr. Baxter’s previous leadership roles at VF also included Group President, Outdoor & Action Sports, Americas and Vice President, VF Corporation & Group President, Jeanswear, Imagewear and South America. Mr. Baxter joined VF in 2007 as the President of the Licensed Sports Group. In 2008, he was named Coalition President for the Imagewear coalition, which comprised the Image and Licensed Sports Group divisions.
Prior to these leadership roles, Mr. Baxter served as Senior Vice President of The Home Depot Company, leading the Services Division. He also previously served as Executive Vice President of Edward Don & Company and held a series of leadership roles with Nestle and PepsiCo.
Mr. Baxter serves on the board of directors for Lowe's, one of the largest home improvement retailers in the world. An active member of the community, Mr. Baxter is on the Executive Committee of the board for the Piedmont Triad Partnership.
Mr. Baxter holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Toledo and a Masters of Business Administration degree from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
Tom Waldron
Chief Operating Officer
Tom Waldron is Chief Operating Officer, Kontoor. Waldron is responsible for the Wrangler® and Lee® brands globally, including international markets, direct-to-consumer channels and licensing. Additionally, he oversees Kontoor’s operations, including global supply chain, product development, and innovation.
Prior to being named, Chief Operating Officer, Waldron served as EVP, Co-Chief Operating Officer, Global Brand President, Wrangler® since 2022 where he was responsible for the Wrangler brand’s strategic direction with global business oversight. Waldron also maintained oversight of the operational side of the business, including product development, innovation and procurement enabling functions.
Prior to joining Kontoor Brands in 2019, Waldron was appointed President, Wrangler and Riders by Lee, North America for VF Corporation in 2016. Prior to that role, he was Vice President of Mass Brands and held various roles of increasing responsibility in merchandising, sales and operations.
Prior to joining VF in 1995, Waldron began his career with the Kmart Corporation, working in operations and buying across a number of categories.
Waldron earned a bachelor’s degree in Management from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro’s Bryan School of Business.
Joe Alkire
EVP, Chief Financial Officer
Joe Alkire is EVP and Chief Financial Officer of Kontoor Brands, Inc. He has more than 20 years of strategy, finance, capital markets and operations experience. In this role, Alkire has primary responsibility for enterprise strategy, corporate development, financial planning and analysis, accounting, investor relations, tax, treasury, internal audit and information technology.
Prior to his appointment to EVP and Chief Financial Officer of Kontoor Brands in 2023, Alkire served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer for BrüMate, Inc., a disruptive, high-growth private equity backed consumer products company. Prior to joining BrüMate, Inc., he served as the Vice President, Corporate Development, Treasury, and Investor Relations for VF Corporation. Prior to VF, Alkire served as an investment banking and equity research analyst for William Blair & Company.
Alkire serves on the board of directors for BrüMate, Inc. Alkire holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business and an M.B.A. from The University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a formerly licensed Certified Public Accountant.
Tom Doerr
EVP, General Counsel & Secretary
Tom Doerr is EVP, General Counsel & Secretary for Kontoor Brands, Inc. Doerr oversees fundamental legal and business functions such as compliance, legal strategy, issues identification, crisis management and global trademarks and intellectual property oversight. Doerr also serves as counsel to the Board of Directors.
Doerr has more than 20 years of experience in compliance, litigation, risk management and other corporate matters for global, publicly traded companies. Prior to joining Kontoor Brands in 2022, Doerr served as Executive Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary and Senior Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary at The Manitowoc Company, Inc. He also served as Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary at Jason Industries, Inc. and Associate General Counsel at The Manitowoc Company, Inc.
Doerr earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of St. Thomas and his law degree from the Marquette University Law School.
Pete Kidd
EVP, Chief Human Resources Officer
Pete Kidd is EVP and Chief Human Resources Officer for Kontoor Brands. Kidd is responsible for the company's global human resources strategy and operations including total rewards, talent acquisition and retention, talent and organizational development, diversity, equity and inclusion and HR information systems.
Kidd has more than 25 years of experience in Human Resources, Accounting, and Information Technology. Prior to his appointment to EVP, Chief Human Resources Officer, Kidd was Kontoor Brands Senior Vice President, Global Total Rewards, since joining the company in 2022. Prior to that, he served as Senior Vice President of Total Rewards at SAIC Inc., Vice President of Total Rewards at Perspecta Inc., and Vice President of Compensation & Benefits in North America at Sodexo Inc. Kidd also held senior HR roles with Freddie Mac as Senior Director HR Business Initiatives and Director HR Projects.
Kidd earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from The Pennsylvania State University. He is a project management professional and formally trained executive coach, having received his professional training from Columbia University in New York.
Mame Annan-Brown
EVP, Global Communications & Public Affairs
Mame is EVP, Global Communications & Public Affairs for Kontoor Brands, Inc. Mame has responsibility for all aspects of global corporate communications and public affairs. This includes oversight of internal and external communications, message development, media relations, owned and digital content creation. She leads government affairs strategies to achieve positive outcomes for the corporation, serving as a representative and advocate for Kontoor’s interest among government agencies and other select associations. Additionally, Mame is President of the Kontoor Brands Foundation, guiding Kontoor’s philanthropic strategy and community impact.
Prior to Kontoor, Mame was Head of External Relations at International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, and was responsible for managing IFC’s global external communications. Prior to IFC, Mame was Head of Communications at IFC Asset Management Company (AMC) where she led the institution’s marketing and public relations, branding, media, and strategic outreach. Prior to AMC, Mame was Chief Communications Officer at Results for Development Institute, and Director of Marketing at United to End Genocide, the largest grassroots advocacy organization in the US that led the historic movement to demand an end to genocide in Darfur.
Mame also spent 10 years on Wall Street as Vice President in J.P. Morgan’s Investment Bank. She developed communications strategies for business heads and executives, particularly during the 2008 global financial crisis and the J.P. Morgan and Bear Stearns merger and acquisition. Mame also led the Investment Bank's global employee volunteerism and charitable giving program.
Mame holds a BA in Economics from McGill University and received a Master’s in International Development Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). An active member in the community, Mame is on the Board of Directors for the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce and Get In The Game.
Jenni Broyles
EVP, Global Brands President, Wrangler & Lee
Jenni Broyles is EVP, Global Brands President, Wrangler® & Lee®. Broyles is responsible for global marketing, product, design and analytics for both brands as well as sales and merchandising in North America.
Prior to being named Global Brands President, Wrangler® & Lee®, Broyles served as SVP, Wrangler since 2022 where she strengthened the Wrangler business as North American General Manager, while also having leadership accountability for category and channel expansion, design and marketing. Broyles held various roles of increasing responsibility in brand management, marketing and Merchandising for both Wrangler and Lee under VF Corporation.
Prior to joining VF in 2005, Broyles held marketing positions for brands such as RJ Reynolds and Sony Music Entertainment.
Broyles holds a bachelor’s degree in advertising from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, as well as a Master of Business Administration in Marketing and Value Chain Management.
Ezio Garciamendez
EVP, Chief Supply Chain Officer
Ezio Garciamendez is EVP, Chief Supply Chain Officer for Kontoor Brands, Inc. Garciamendez leads all aspects of Supply Chain management for Kontoor Brands including global operations, planning, manufacturing, sourcing, quality, customer service, distribution, logistics, master data governance, product development, sustainability and direct procurement. He also oversees all components of the company’s supply chain strategy, including trade-related functions and operations.
Garciamendez has more than 20 years of experience in the consumer-packaged goods industry. Prior to joining Kontoor Brands in 2022, Garciamendez served as Global Operations SVP leading the end-to-end supply chain organization for Melaleuca, the largest online wellness shopping club. He also held various roles with increasing responsibility within Procter and Gamble leading highly complex, multi-category, end-to-end global supply chain operations including manufacturing, distribution, procurement, planning, logistics, engineering, and technical services.
Garciamendez holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from ITESM in Monterrey, Mexico and an M.B.A. from the University of Texas.
