WNFR: Long live cowgirls! Long live cowboys!
There was no better way to wrap Wrangler’s 75th birthday than with a road trip to Las Vegas for the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (WNFR).
The annual event is the world series of rodeo, and Wrangler is proud to be the title sponsor for 21 years running.
Seventy-five years ago, Wrangler was a brand build on function, with the cowboy client in mind. Today, the company continues to honor that cowboy spirit with a combination of function and fashion, opening the aperture of the brand to a wider market, says Tom Waldron, EVP, Co-Chief Operating Officer and Global Brand President of Wrangler.
“Today, it’s about function, innovation, but also fashion, making Wrangler consumers look incredible, no matter who they are,” Waldron says.
“It has been amazing to watch women embrace the Wrangler brand,” adds Jamie Armistead, Wrangler’s North American Female Merchandizing Manager. “We’re really giving [women] those head-to-toe looks. Whether it’s boots, it’s denim, it’s hats, it’s fringe — you can take all of that and put it together and capture this really cool Western trend.”
